WHAT IS THE ARCHER?
THE RICHEST RACE IN REGIONAL QUEENSLAND
The Archer is a 1300 metre race run with a maximum of 12 starters under set weights and penalties.
The race is held at Callaghan Park, Rockhampton for a total prize pool of $1 million securing its status as the Richest Race in Regional QLD. The Central Queensland Amateur Racing Club (Rocky Amateurs) hope to grow this prize pool in the coming years depending on race success and Queensland Racing support going forward.
HOW THE ARCHER WORKS
The Archer Race concept is based closely on the Richest Race on Turf format which is The Everest.
Twelve (12) Slot holders have been allocated. The owner of the slot can then determine if they would like to run their own horse in the allocated slot or negotiate a deal with another horse owner for their horse to run in the slot. A deal is then brokered between the two parties as to a prize money split.
If you would like to contact one of the slot holders please email marketing@rockyamateurs.org.au
